Easy to make blini Recipes just a few minutes with amazing and unique tips and tricks, most famous recipes are available on our website

The blini resemble a crepe that is thick, slightly chewy, and has a lavishly fluffy appearance in the batter.  This delicious Russian treat can be enjoyed both savory or sweet and you can also make a great breakfast, snack, or dinner if you wish.

  The versatility of Russian Craps

I will always love craps for their versatility.  They can be filled, dipped, rolled, and filled with both savory and sweet things.  But I have a special place in my heart for these juicy and thick types of Russian craps commonly made in Russia and Ukraine.

The yeast in the batter gives these Russian crepes an incredible aroma, in the same way that you smell when you cut a fresh loaf of bread.  You just want to keep your face close to it and breathe that wonderful fragrance.  Yama!

How to serve this Russian blini recipe

blini

As this Russian blini recipe produces extra-thick crepes, they work very well with any traditional crepe dipping sauce.  My favorite dessert is sour cream.  A good jam definitely won't hurt, but the sweet-sour cream is where my heart is when this Russian blini recipe comes out.  This is probably because it brings back such good memories - the way I was eating them!

Traditionally, however, these blends are served with more savory toppings.  The most common items with this Russian blini recipe are caviar or smoked salmon.  Speaking of salmon - did you know that you can make your smoked salmon at home without a smoker?

This tasty treat can be applied first thing in the morning.  While flour proof, enjoy a cup of coffee or an episode of your favorite show, then come back and finish this easy recipe.

  Blini material

As you can see, the material is easy to find for Blinnie and chances are that you already have the items in your cupboard.

  How to make Blini Batter

Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast and let sit for 10 minutes.

Add egg, flour, and salt and whisk until smooth.

Cover the bowl and allow the yeast to proof.

  How to blind

Heat a pan until reasonably warm, and add butter to it.

Using a spoon, add the mixture to the pan until the entire pan is coated.

Cook, then flip with a spatula and allow the other side to cook.

Transfer to a plate and make the next blini until all of the batters are used.

  How to fill your blini

Blini can be filled with almost anything.  My favorite ways to enjoy them are sweet (sweet sour cream and jam) or savory (caviar or smoked salmon).

  Make blini ahead

blini

The batter cannot be prepared ahead of time because the yeast will no longer be active if it is to be stored for too long.

However, you can cook the craps, cool them, then cover them with plastic wrap and refrigerate.  To heat and serve for a while, remove a few hours from the fridge before bringing it to the room taper or microwave.

To freeze, separate each crepe with a layer of parchment paper, then cover tightly and freeze.  Transfer to the fridge overnight to thaw.  Then, heat the microwave before serving.
